Business Online and Mobile Banking Are Being Upgraded

In an effort to better serve of customers, we are upgrading our business online and mobile banking platforms. The new platform will offer a better user experience and enhanced capabilities and features. This page offers all the key information you need to know about this upgrade including a demo of the new platforms. System Downtime

  • Business Online Banking will be unavailable from 5 p.m. EST on Sunday, May 6th until 9 a.m. on Monday, May 7th. 
  • Business Mobile Banking will be unavailable from 5 p.m. EST on Friday, May 4th until 9 a.m. on Monday, May 7th.
  • Bill Pay will be unavailable from 5 p.m. EST on Sunday, May 6th through 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8th.

First Time Log In Instructions & Passwords

  • First time log in instructions and passwords will be sent to admins through a secure email.
  • The email will be sent on May 3rd from Belmont Savings Bank with the subject line Secure Email Messaging.
  • Please note your Access ID must be entered in all lower-case letters
  • When you receive the email:
    • Click the link to view the message
    • Log in to the secure email portal:
      • Enter email address.
      • Enter password. If you haven’t logged in to our secure email portal previously, you will receive a separate email with a password to use.
      • Reset password, if prompted.
    • Once you reach the inbox, click to open the email from Belmont Savings to view the first time log in instructions and password.

WebConnect Users

  • In order to ensure that you have complete transaction data available to you for your Quickbook records, please download your history before close of business day on Friday, May 4th. This information will not transfer to the new system.

Token Users

  • New tokens have been sent out to all token users. If you have not received your new tokens, please contact us immediately. 

  • You will be prompted to register and activate your token upon first log-in to the new system on May 7th.

User Settings, ACH & Wire Templates Updates

  • Updates made to user settings, ACH templates and wire templates after April 25th will need to be re-entered in the new system as they will not carry over. Belmont Savings Bank will identify and contact customers who have made updates and assist with this process. 

Business Mobile Banking App

  • As part of the upgrade, we are also launching a newly updated Business Mobile Banking App. The new app will be available to download by end of day on Monday, May 7th. At that time, you may delete the old app.
  • In order to maintain the highest level of security, companies who use ACH and/or wire transfers will not have access to the Mobile Banking app. All ACH and Wire transfers can be initiated and approved through our Online Banking website which can be accessed on a desktop or laptop computer, or through your internet browser app on a mobile device.

Bill Pay

  • Scheduled payments will be processed as usual. However, if you need to schedule a new bill payment with a deliver-by date of May 9th or May 10th please enter that payment into Bill Pay no later than May 4th to ensure a timely delivery.
  • Payee information and schedule payments will carry over to the new system.
  • Bill Pay will now offer enhance security by allowing admins to establish authority levels. All online banking administrations will be automatically set as a Senior Administrator in Bill Pay.
    • Senior administrators can:
      • Commit expenditures and approve the disbursement of funds on behalf of the business.
      • Add, change, cancel and approve payments, including automatic payments.
      • Add, change, and delete payees.
      • Add, change, and delete electronic bills.
      • Assign different payment accounts for different payees
      • Assign other employees access to make bill payments by contacting Business Banking Client Services. The two authority level options are:
        • Administrator – same as Senior Administration but cannot assign new bill pay user
        • Employee – same as Administrator but cannot approve payments
  • Timing of Funds Withdrawal Change: In our current system, Bill Pays sent by check (as opposed to an electronic payment) are withdrawn on the deliver date. In our new system, Bill Pays sent by check will be drawn once the check is deposited or cashed by the recipient. See a detailed description below:

Notifications

With this upgrade, online banking users will have access to an enhanced notifications. Text and/or email alerts can be set to notify you of the following:

  • Account balance is below or above a certain threshold
  • Online banking login was locked out
  • Online banking password was changed
  • Specified check number was cleared
  • Deposit was credited to an account
  • Credit transaction was posted
  • Transaction equal to threshold amount
  • Transaction over threshold amount
  • Payment posted to loan and loan advance posted

The contact and timing preferences for alerts can be established and adjusted on the homepage of the Alerts tab.

Remote Deposit Capture

  • Remote Deposit Capture will not be affected during this conversion. 

Trusteer:

  • Our new online banking site will be automatically certified. Users will not need to re-download Trusteer Rapport.
