Required Documents

While applying for a mortgage may require you to submit many documents,  don't be overwhelmed! Start with the checklist for required documents we've provided below:

  • One month of updated paystubs
  • Last 2 years of W-2’s. Most loans will also require last 2 years of federal tax returns
    • Self-employed borrowers:
      • Last 2 years of completed, executed federal tax returns and business returns with all schedules
      • Profit & Loss statement for the most recent month
  • Asset statements (one month – all pages). Any large deposits to be identified and explained
  • Purchase & sales agreement
  • Deposit/down-payment checks
  • If gift funds are being given – an executed gift letter supporting donor information (Letter will be provided by lender)

Additional documents may apply depending on borrower situation. Please contact your mortgage officer for more information.
